God's goodness

God, no matter what, there is something to praise You for today. Thank You for the many, many ways You show how much You love me. Open my eyes to see Your goodness. Teach me to dwell in Your presence with a heart that overflows in gratitude. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Guidance and protection

God, You are the foundation upon which I build my life. You are my source of protection and strength. You fight for me, protect me, and lead me through hard times. With You, I am never alone or abandoned. Thank You for being my source of strength and salvation. Thank You for crushing the devil’s schemes and guiding me closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Comfort

God, thank You for being my good Shepherd. There may be challenges but because of You, I lack nothing. I am refreshed. I am content. I can find safety and security in Your arms. Thank You for these powerful promises that bring peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Holiness

God, I desire to live my life for You. I need Your help staying alert throughout the day. Help me be aware of the things You want me to pay attention to. Give me the courage to step out in faith when You ask me to. Help me discern what is holy so that I can please You in all I do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Put Jesus front and center

Jesus, I look to you right now. There's so much going on in my life, but I want You to be the center of everything. Help me to keep my eyes focused on You. Help me to see what You see and worship you in everything. Amen.

Refocus on God

God, thank You for making a way for me to leave the weight of all my sins behind. Help me to remember that Your grace is always available because Your Son gave His life for me. You made a way for me to be forgiven! Thank You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Truth

God, I know no matter what anyone else may say, You are truth and Your Word is true! I want to live in freedom, not in fear. Show me how to be bold. Lead me out of hiding in darkness to embrace the light. Thank You for freeing me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Rest

God, break me of my busyness and striving. I want to be a person of peace, not stress. I want to prioritize spending time with You. Show me what I need to surrender. Teach me how to actively pursue rest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer for release

God, my heart is heavy. I release my burdens to You. I lay them down and surrender them to You. Thank You for holding me in my weakness and weariness. Show me how to rest and refuel in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Slow down

God, thank You for being the perfect example of how to rest. Teach me how to find true rest in Your presence. I lay all my stress and anxiety at Your feet. Free my mind from the thoughts and weights of busyness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Where is your treasure?

Father God, You have shown me what matters most—and that is to love You, and love others. Help me to align my life with Your will. Show me how to invest my time, resources, and money into the one thing that has eternal value—Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Deliverance

God, You are a merciful Savior and mighty Deliverer. Thank You for rescuing me from my darkness and sin through Jesus’ death on my behalf. You are victorious! I know You hear me when I cry out for help. Thank You! In Jesus' name, Amen.

Serving others

God, I know there are many hurting and lonely people in the world. Show me how I can be Your hands and feet to serve them. Open my eyes to see the needs of the vulnerable or struggling in my own neighborhood. Help me to love and serve like Jesus did. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Loving others

Jesus, thank You for showing me how to love others by the way You lived Your life. Sometimes it’s hard to love people, but I want to love them because You love them. Today, help me see the opportunities in front of me to love others. Amen.

My father

Father God, I am so grateful that I can call You my Father. In Your presence, I experience wholeness and joy. You are the greatest gift I have ever received. Today, please help me to live from a place of confident assurance as Your loved child. Give me Your wisdom and make me more like You. Allow me to go through life filled with Your great joy. Keep the Sabbath Holy

God, You are holy! There is no one like you. I am amazed that you have called me to be part of your holy people. Help me to remember to rest, and when I do, to remember that I’m Yours and made in Your image. Amen.

Patience

Father, You are so patient and faithful to be at work in me, even when I am impatient. Teach me to trust You, to seek to know You better, and to align myself more deeply with the things You love and value in seasons when I am waiting. Amen.

Carry each other's burdens

God, thank You for calling the body of Christ to carry each other’s burdens. Help me to be quick to help others when I can, and to be willing to accept help when I need it. Teach me to be a good listener, to pray for others, and to lift those around me up in love. I want to be more like You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trust in God

God, You are my source of strength and hope. You form the foundation of my life, and You overwhelm my fears with Your love. With You, all things are possible. Even when everything around me seems to crumble, I will trust and not be afraid—for my future is found in You. Thank You, God! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Practice God's Word

Jesus, I am grateful I can rely on You. You are unchanging, steady, and trustworthy. Help me to practice what I learn from You, making Your Truth the foundation of my life. Help me build my life on You and You alone. Amen.

Learn to rest

Lord Jesus, You are wise and good in all things. Thank you for creating both work and rest as a blessing. Teach me to rest regularly and to receive it as the gift You made it to be. I need wisdom and faith to do this. Amen.

Justice and mercy

God, please show me how to love You and Your people. Align my heart with Your will, and help me to make decisions that bring You glory and honor. Imitate God

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

God, I truly desire to imitate and know You! When people see me, I also want them to see You. Guide me as I seek to follow You with my whole heart. Bring godly people into my life. Surround me with positive relationships, so I can better imitate You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A Changed Mind

Understanding rest

On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation.

God, it is difficult to rest when there is so much I feel like I need to do. I want to experience Your kind of rest. Please show me how to work and rest in a way that honors and helps me trust You more. Amen.

God's power
