Morning mercies

God, sometimes I struggle to see Your purpose and plan, but I know that You are trustworthy. I know that You are good. I want to start each day by truly trusting in You! Please help me to do that. Thank You for loving me—for knowing what I need most. I surrender my self-made plans to You. Guide my steps and show me Your way. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Strength and courage

God, in You I have all that I need. But when trials come, sometimes I forget that You are in control. I need You to make me strong and courageous. Please give me the courage I need to trust in You. Please give me wisdom I need to honor You. Remind me that You are with me, that You are for me, and that You will continue to direct my steps. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Do good

God, when I'm overwhelmed by the brokenness I see, help me to remember that You see me, that You are good, and that You are in control. I might not be able to stop all the pain and injustice I witness, but I can help overcome evil by doing good. Please help me to do just that. Give me the courage and humility to love people well today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Repentance

God, Your timing is perfect. Thank You for being so patient and gracious with me. You alone are my source of strength, joy, and peace. Today, I repent of focusing on momentary things instead of placing You first in my life. Draw me close to You. And as I wait on You to return, please use me to love and encourage this broken world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

True friendship

God, thank You for being the ultimate example of a friend! You are always there for me. Teach me how to be a true friend to others, not just when it's convenient, but when life gets tough. Guide me as I seek to build friendships with those who love and honor You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Walk in Love

God, I want to be more like You. You are loving and merciful, steady and faithful. Thank You for being my God. For being more brilliant, righteous, and gracious than I can comprehend. It's Your kindness that leads me to repentance—to want to follow You with my whole heart. Today, I am looking to You to teach me. Thank You for helping me, even when I'm stubborn or difficult. I love You! Amen.
