My Friends

God, thank You that I don’t have to go through life alone. You are always with me, and You've put people in my life to help me. I’m grateful You created us to depend on each other and share our life experiences. Community is Your design, and I don't want to take it for granted. Help me to love and serve my friends well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When tempted

God, thank You for always providing a way out of temptation. Because I know Your Son, sin doesn’t have control over my life. But because the world isn’t fully restored yet, I still find myself tempted. Your Word says that You will be with me. Thank You! Please give me the courage to say “no” to the things that could harm me. I want to faithfully follow You at all times. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Forgiving others

God, thank You for choosing to forgive me. I don’t deserve Your forgiveness, but I'm so thankful for it. I want to be like You and, because You have forgiven me, I want to forgive others. Help me to remember Your generous gift of forgiveness, and release my anger towards those who have wronged me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don't worry

God, You already know what I need—and even what I want. And even though life isn't perfect, I believe that You are enough for me. Your provision is enough for me. Your love is enough for me. Your grace is enough for me. So today, I surrender my worries to You. Help me to remember that You are at work in the details. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Refresh my soul

Lord, I’m running on empty and need to be refreshed. Thank You for welcoming me into Your presence. Here, I give You all of my worries and weariness. In turn, please grant me a newfound perspective and make me whole.

Help people find God

God, I want to help people find You, just as I have found You. Please guide me as I share Your love with those around me. Help me to represent You well. Put me in situations where I can share Your light and love with others. I’m here to serve You, Lord—send me where You want me to go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
