“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

God, You are worthy of all my praise, and You created me to praise You! So please show me how to worship You in all that I do. When people look back on my life, I want them to give You glory. So please teach me how to make my life an act of worship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Eyes on Jesus

‭Hebrews 12:2 NLT‬

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

God, thank You for being the author and perfecter of my faith. I give my past troubles, my current pain, and my future thoughts to You. Keep my eyes focused on You, not on the distractions and worries of this world. In Jesus' name, Amen.

King of Glory

Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.

God, You are the King of Glory. The whole earth was created to declare Your name. Help my life to reflect Your glory. I want others to see You shining through me. Fill me with Your love and light. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Justified by faith

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

God, thank You for the perfect peace that comes from being Your child. And it’s through nothing I’ve done, but by faith alone. I love that I can talk to You at any time. You embrace me like an innocent child despite my mess and mistakes. Thank You for this undeserved gift! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Forgiving others

‭Ephesians 4:32 NLT‬

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

God, thank You for choosing to forgive me. I don’t deserve Your forgiveness, but I know You are good and loving. I want to be like You, and because You have forgiven me, I want to forgive others. Help me each day to remember Your gift of forgiveness, and release my anger towards those who have wronged me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faithful and just

‭1 John 1:9 NLT‬

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

God, I confess that I have not always been the person You’ve created me to be. I sometimes fail to love You with my whole heart, mind, and soul. I do not always love my neighbors as You love them. Please forgive me, God. Transform my heart and renew my mind so that I can draw closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
