Abundant life

God, You are with me in hard times, and protect me at all times. My future is secure in You because I am Your child. So today, I give my life and my year over to You. Teach me to seek You first this year so that way I can embrace the abundant life that You offer me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Abide in Him

God, apart from You I can do nothing. Forgive me when I try to go it alone. I need You every day. I need Your wisdom and guidance in my life. Strengthen my spiritual habits. Help me remain in You, and prune any unrighteous fruit I may bear. In Jesus' name, Amen.

New life in Christ

God, eternal life begins the moment I choose a relationship with You. As I follow You, please help me to have an eternal mindset. When I'm tempted to only focus on what's right in front of me, help me to look up and consider the realities of heaven. Give me the wisdom to know how to prepare for eternity in my daily life. Imitating Jesus

God, thank You for new life in You. Help me become more like Jesus. Use my story to show others Your grace and love. Shape my character, my mind, and my attitude to reflect Yours. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Wisdom and knowledge

God, thank You for being the source of wisdom and knowledge. Please teach me more about You each day so I can know and understand You better. Guide my actions and decision making so that I can live a life that honors You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Celebrating Jesus arrival

God, thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ. Thank You that You remained true to your promises to send the Savior to redeem us. Thank you for the gift of new life that came through Jesus. You are worthy of all my praise! In Jesus name, Amen.

Good News

God, thank You that Your good news is for everyone! The message of Jesus’ coming is for everyone. You love me and You invite me to have a relationship with You. Thank You for sending Jesus to make a way for me to have a relationship with You and thank You for telling shepherds first. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trust

God, thank You that Your ways are different than mine. Sometimes this can be hard to accept but it is a good thing! Thank You for sending Your Son and teaching me so much about Your Kingdom through His birth. Humble. Accessible. You are worthy of all my trust. Today, I choose to trust You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Gratitude

Jesus, You had all the power in the world and the universe, yet You submitted yourself to be born on this earth. You are so humble. I couldn’t have been rescued from sin and death if You hadn’t humbled Yourself in this way. Thank You! In Your name, Amen.

Trust in God

Jesus, thank You for being so good. You are everything I could ever need. Please help me to trust You completely, seeing more and more every day that You truly are the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. What a gift to know You. In Your name, Amen.

God loves us this much

Jesus, thank You for coming into the world. You loved me so much that You lowered Yourself to a humble life on earth to have a relationship with me. Help me to live in a way that follows Your example and leads others to know You as a Friend and Savior. In Your name, Amen.

New growth

God, would you bring new growth into my life where these things seemed dead? You have been so good to me, but right now, in this Christmas season, I’m wanting to see the miracle of new growth in my life. Will you help me to see the “tender shoot” of growth around me and give me a grateful heart as you work in me? In Jesus' name, amen.

The days are coming

God, help me to find confidence in Your good promises. You are faithful and won’t abandon me. So please keep me from negativity or despair and help me to pursue You with my whole life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

New life and new hope

God, I’m not strong enough on my own, but You are. You make a way in the desert. You give new life and new hope. Help me to rely on your strength and power today and to find my life and freedom in You. Thank You for sending a Messiah to end the darkness and make a way! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Willing Sacrifice

Jesus, thank You for Your love. You gave everything. You showed me how to love sacrificially. I can’t love others in this way without Your help. Help me know how much You love me and, from that place, love others in a way that points to You. Amen.

Love one another

God, thank You for being the perfect example of love. Some people are difficult for me to love, yet You love everyone without condition. Help me to see others through Your eyes. Make me aware of a specific person I can shine Your light and love to today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love God Fully

God, You are worthy of all my love and devotion. You invite me to love You with everything I am—my mind, will, and emotions. It’s so easy to become distracted and not love You fully, but I want to turn my whole self to You. Help me love You fully. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Trust Jesus

Dear God, thank You for the unity between You and Your Son, Jesus. Thank You for the power, truth, and love shown through Your Word. I know I can trust in what You say as I learn to live as Jesus lived. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God's grace

God, thank You for sending Your Son to take on the weight of our mistakes. You demonstrated the ultimate act of love by caring for us while we were still sinners. Thank You for giving us grace and showing us mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God loves us

God, Your love is amazing to me. I need to know more. I want to feel loved and seen, to experience how much You care about me. Help me discover Your love more today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Live by faith

God, You are the Lord over everything, both seen and unseen. You alone are the one with power over life and death. Help increase my own faith by Your Holy Spirit. I believe that You can do all things, and that You care for me. Help me live by faith, believing everything about You in Scripture. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Jesus, the bread of life

God, You are the bread of life, true nourishment for my soul. Forgive me when I chase what the world offers, instead of You. I want to know and pursue You, rather than empty pleasures. Show me how to gain fulfillment by spending time with You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A centered heart

God, open my eyes to what I am truly devoting myself to. Help me as I fight against selfish desires. When people see my life, I want them to see You at the center. Refocus my heart and mind on You, my eternal treasure. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God gives us the victory

God, today, help me to remember that I can live from a place of victory because You have given me victory over all things, through Jesus. You have given me victory over my past mistakes and current difficulties. You fight for me, and with me. So when I come up against trouble of any kind, help me to remember that You are enough for me—I can trust in You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God's light

Jesus, thank You for being the Light of the World. Thank You for shining light in the darkness and showing me how to live a life that honors You. Help me to be an example of You to everyone I encounter, and give me the courage to shine Your light in my community. Amen.

Humbled

Jesus, thank You for choosing to experience what it means to be human. At great cost, You came to earth and sacrificed Yourself for us by dying on a cross. Thank You for loving us so fully! As I think about Your selfless sacrifice, fill me with Your love. Let Your love flow through me today so that I joyfully serve others with humility. Amen.

Love God

Jesus, You made the principle of being Your disciple so simple. But walking in Your footsteps can be so incredibly hard. Help me to rely on your spirit to guide my thoughts, words & actions. Make me an ambassador of your love. Amen.

Love others

God, sometimes it’s hard to love others. But even when people are unkind, I want to choose to love them because You love them. Encourage me to love others even when it’s challenging, and give me opportunities each day to go out of my way to show Your love to everyone I encounter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reconciliation

God, thank You for being the God who restores and brings peace. You are steady. You are good. I ask for Your strength to love and serve those around me. Help me share the healing and hope I have in You with others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Same mind as Jes6

God, thank You for loving and serving Your people. Because I want to live a life that honors You, please give me the same attitude of mind as You—help me to love and serve others. Give me opportunities each day to express Your love to others. Help me go out of my way to serve those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Grace and Truth

God, I sometimes struggle to give myself grace. It can be hard to forgive myself for things that I’ve done, but I know that You’ve forgiven me. And because You have forgiven me, I can forgive myself. Thank You for sending Your son, Jesus, to save me from my sins. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Strong tower

God, I am so grateful that You know everything I’m going through. Your name is a strong tower. You alone are my source of strength. I am calling on Your name. Thank You that with You, I am safe. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love the Lord your God

God, obedience is a way I can show my faith in You. Teach me how to be more obedient. Fill my heart with the perfect love You’ve shown me. Teach me what it looks like to offer every part of myself—heart, soul, and strength—to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Honor your father and mother

God, thank You for being a good Father to me. Today, please show me how to honor You by honoring the people You’ve placed in my life. Show me how to selflessly serve others, and give me opportunities to encourage both the parents and kids You’ve placed in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A light to the world

Jesus, thank You for being the light of the world, and for giving us hope for an eternal relationship and life with You. Thank You for allowing me to represent You on earth, and for giving me the Holy Spirit to help me live a life that honors You. Each day, help me be a light in the darkness and draw others closer to You. Amen.

Love each other

God, I thank you for the amazing love that You have shown me. I pray that I can love others in my life in that same way. Please help me by Your Spirit to prioritize people in my life, serve those who are in need, and share the love of Jesus with those who haven't heard. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Blessed are the peacemakers

God, please help me to live at peace with others. Even when people hurt, hated, and mocked You—You still showed them love and mercy. And You invite me to experience and share Your perfect peace. So please transform the ways I think and act. Make me eager to spread peace instead of fear, and love instead of hate. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is my refuge

God, I place my hope in You. Every word from You proves true. Your Word shows that You’ll never leave me, You’ll fight for me, and You’ll protect me. So when I’m afraid or overwhelmed, I will not lose heart. I will remember Your promises and run to You. You are my refuge and strength—the One in whom I trust. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be led by God

God, thank You that You are the same God that led the Israelites. You are with me! You never forsake me. I can face any challenge without fear. I submit my life to Your will. I know You will lead me where you want me to go. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trust Jesus in the storm

Jesus, thank You that You are with me wherever I go! Whatever storm I face, You are with me. You are not afraid. I can face every storm with peace and confidence because of the simple fact that You care about me. Thank You. In Your name I pray, Amen.

Thankful

God, You are worthy of all my praise! When I am weak, You carry me. When I am overwhelmed, You support me. My burdens are not unknown to You. Thank You for never requiring me to bear hardships alone. Thank You for letting me bring them to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reliance

God, thank You for using me despite my weaknesses. I often find it difficult to be joyful when life brings pain and hardship. Give me eyes to see You at work, even when I am anxious. I want to fully rely on You. Help me lean into Your strength. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Humility

Jesus, You have shown me what true humility looks like by giving up Your life for my sake. Today, as I interact with other people, help me to consider others before myself. And help me to do this not from a place of insecurity—but because I know who I am and I love who You are. Amen.

A Changed Life

God, thank You for loving me. Please shape my heart. Teach me how to act in a way that honors You. Remove any patterns of behavior in my life that displease You, and replace them with characteristics that reflect You and Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Put others first

Jesus, You show me what true humility looks like. You gave up everything to serve and save us. It’s Your humble sacrifice that paved a way for me to experience fresh life. Thank You! Today, please replace pride with humility, and selfishness with selflessness. Change the way I think and act, and teach me to put others first in a healthy way that honors You. Amen.

Live differently

God, thank You for sending Your Son so I can experience mercy and grace instead of condemnation. Thank You for erasing my past. Please help me to see myself the way You see me: whole, loved, and set apart for Your glory. Shape the way I think, and draw me close to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Peace

God, thank You for Your promise of peace. I may face uncertain and frightening things in this life, but I know You are bigger than my problems. As I walk with You today, help me to remember that no matter what I encounter, You are good. You promise to always be with me—and that brings me peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Unity

God, You alone can unite Your children. You make sinful hearts clean. You make broken families whole. You make divided nations return to You. Help me remember Your power to unite and Your will for togetherness. Mend the divisions You see in me, and mend the divisions You see in the world. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Focus on God

God, sometimes it’s hard to focus my mind on good things. But I know You are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy—and I am grateful I can focus my mind on You at all times. When I go through challenging situations, please remind me of Your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A gracious heart

God, when I come to You with humility, You never hold my mistakes against me. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, all my mistakes are paid for. I never want to cheapen Your gracious gift by refusing to show mercy or kindness to others. So please remove any hurt or devision from my heart, and show me where I need to do good to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
