Praise in hard times

God, You are well-acquainted with my struggles, and they don’t scare or shock You. Instead, You seem to view them as opportunities to strengthen me and show off Your glory through me. So today, I choose to bring my struggles to You. I will rejoice even as I encounter hard times—because I know You are refining me, and giving me the strength to endure. Thank You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Comfort and joy

God, You are in control. And because You are in control, I am safe. I am Your child. And because nothing can separate me from You, I can run to You when I face troubles of any kind. Thank You for being my Anchor. Remind my soul of what is true, and comfort me as I face hardships that are too big for me to handle. Fill me with joy as I trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hard situations

God, You are the source of my joy. Even when I face various trials, I can trust that You are using them to make me stronger. Thank You for stretching my endurance and strengthening my faith. I know You are always with me. Help me to see every day and every circumstance as an opportunity for great joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Training for eternity

God, thank You for caring about my whole being—body, mind, and soul. Help me to train not just for physical health, but for spiritual godliness. Not just for what's temporary, but what will last forever. Shape my thoughts, actions, and purpose to align with Your will. Strengthen me to pursue what truly lasts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Run with endurance

Father, thank You that I am not alone. You are with me, and I'm not the first one to face these challenges. I'm not giving up. Strengthen me. I want to run my race well. I'm throwing off everything that hinders and running to You. Thank You that You meet me right here. Amen.

Replace worry with kindness

God, as I go about my day, help me to fight my fears and worries by trusting in You. Help me to be on the lookout for people who might need a reminder of Your love and kindness. Use me to be a source of encouragement to those around me. And when I get worried by events that are beyond my control, please remind me that You are near by filling me with Your peace. Honor others

God, thank You for showing me unconditional love and forgiveness. For not giving me what I deserve, but—instead—extending Your mercy and grace. As I go about my day, please show me how to love the people You place around me. Whether it’s a conversation online or in-person, let everything I say and do show honor to You and to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Guidance and Protection

God, even on the darkest days of my life, You are there. You are my source of protection and strength. You fight for me, and lead me through hard times. With You, I am never truly alone or abandoned. Thank You for rescuing me; for saving me. Please help me to encourage the people around me with Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reliance on God

God, thank You for using me despite my weaknesses. I can find it difficult to be joyful when life brings pain, confusion, and hardship. Give me eyes to see Your power on display when I am anxious. I want to fully rely on You. Help me lean into Your strength. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A trusting heart

God, You are worthy of all my trust. I want to trust You like Mary did, totally unphased by changes to my plans and able to rejoice in You no matter what! Thank You for sending a Savior to give me life and hope and a future. I know I can trust You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love & good works

Lord, thank You for the gift of community. Help me to look beyond myself and see how I can encourage others toward love and good works. Give me eyes to see who needs support, and the courage to act in faith. Use me to build up the body of Christ—for Your glory. Amen.

Obedience and trust

God, You invite me to live a life of obedience and trust—because You want the best for me. Please make me eager to follow You, even when I don't understand Your plan. Give me wisdom to recognize the difference between what I think is best and what Your will is for my life. I want to live out my faith in You with sincerity and passion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is my rock

God, there is no one besides You. You are the only One who’s holy and worthy of my praise. Thank You for being my Rock and the firm foundation I can build my life upon. I am grateful that You are always faithful, never changing, and the One who deserves my trust. I love You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Give us guidance

God, thank You for giving me Your Holy Spirit. Because of Your Spirit, I am never far from You. Thank You! Today, please guide me. Show me what Your will is and then give me the strength to do what pleases You. Align my life with Your will through the power of Your Spirit. Change me from the inside out. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God's love is intentional

God, when I think about the vastness of the universe, I am amazed that You chose to create us. Your creativity is beautiful, Your power is magnificent, and Your love for Your children is intentional. Thank You for thinking of me since the beginning of time—and for saving me by sacrificing Your only Son. I love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Son of God

Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. Thank You for allowing me to serve You, to have a close relationship with You, and for the promise that You'll always be with me. I am constantly in awe of Your goodness and love. Each day, help me to live a life that honors You. Amen.

Wait for God

God, in times of heartache and confusion, help me to remember that You are still good. Give me the strength to wait on and hope in You—no matter what. I want to seek and follow You every day. Amen.

Live differently

God, thank You for sending Your Son so that I can experience mercy and grace instead of a condemning sentence. Thank You for erasing my past. Please help me to see myself the way You see me: whole, loved, and set apart for Your glory. Shape the way I think so that my actions can reflect Your heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Faith on purpose

Lord, thank You for giving us partners in the faith. Help me to build real friendships with others who follow You. Make our conversations deep and honest. Let us sharpen each other and grow closer to You—together. Use our community to reveal more of Your goodness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Seek God's help first

God, I'm grateful that You know everything I’m going through—the good and the bad. Today, I want to run to You first. You alone are my source of strength. You alone have everything I need. So here I am, asking for Your help. Please rescue me. And help me to be a refuge for others as well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Gracious Heart

God, when I come to You with humility, You never hold my mistakes against me. Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, all my mistakes are paid for. I never want to cheapen Your gracious gift by refusing to show mercy or kindness to others. So please remove any hurt or division from my heart, and show me where I need to do good to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Unity

God, You alone can unite Your children. You make sinful hearts clean. You make broken families whole. You make divided nations return to You. Help me remember Your power to unite, and Your will for togetherness. Mend the divisions You see in me, and mend the divisions You see in the world. In Jesus' name, Amen.

United by Christ

God, You know how much division there is in this world. I pray Your Church will be an example of the unity only Your love can bring. Help me to foster unity in every environment I step into, seeking to understand and keeping my focus on Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Real rest

God, my heart is heavy, but I release my burdens to You. I lay them down and surrender them to You. Thank You for holding me in my weakness and weariness. Show me how to rest and refuel in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

No one like our God

God, I am grateful for Your continual presence. I'm amazed that You delight in me! Thank You for seeing me not for my imperfections, but as Your child. Help me to never lose focus on You, Your guidance, and Your love. I want You to be the most important part of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Treasure in heaven

God, open my eyes to what's driving me. To what I'm truly devoting myself to. Help me as I fight against selfish desires. When people see my life, I want them to see You at the center. Refocus my heart and mind on You, my eternal treasure. In Jesus' name, Amen.

True humility

Jesus, You have shown me what true humility looks like by giving up Your life for my sake. Today, as I interact with other people, help me to consider others before myself. And help me to do this not from a place of insecurity—but because I know who I am and I love who You are. Amen.

Be ready all the time

Jesus, thank You for promising to return to us. As I wait for You, help me to continue to live more like You. Help me to encourage others with Your Word and share Your love by serving others. I’m excited for the day You come back. But until then, please guide me as I lead others toward You! Amen.

Live like it matters

Jesus, I don’t want to lose what matters most by focusing on momentary things. So please help me. Renew me. When I am tired, please strengthen me. When living a comfortable life seems more appealing than following You—please convict and correct me. Give me the strength to trust in You. I know that You are worth living and dying for, but please help me to live like it. Amen.

Be the example

God, use me to be an example for You. I want to magnify Your glory wherever I go. Thank You for choosing me, no matter my age or ability. I am not too broken or messed up for You to use me. Empower me as I seek to love, lead, and live like You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Praise the Lord

God, thank You for showing me Your mercy and faithfulness. You are my healer, restorer, rescuer, conqueror, and provider. You give me Your strength, joy, peace, and love. No one compares to You. You are my God, and You are worthy of all my praise! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Remain in the Lord

Jesus, I want to be in Your presence at all times. Thank You for promising to remain in me as I remain in You. I want to be as close to You as possible—to hear how Your heart beats for those who love You. As I stay connected to You, please use me for Your purposes—to serve and love those around me each day. Amen.

A generous heart

God, thank You for caring for the needs of Your people. You give me everything I need—everything I have is Yours. So please use me and what I have to fulfill the needs of others. Even when it feels hard to be generous, please help me to be willing to give everything You've given me for the good of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God's glory

God, whatever I do, please help me to do it for Your glory. When I’m talking to other people—let it be for Your glory. When I’m working—let it be for Your glory. When I’m spending time with family and friends—let it be for Your glory. In all that I say and do, let me do it for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A light in the world

God, You are the source of all goodness and wisdom. If I have light to give to the world, it’s because it comes from You. Your light is my salvation and guide. Please use me as a light in the world to show Your grace and mercy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Be transformed

God, thank You for Your Word! What a gift to me. Thank You for the opportunity to renew my mind with Truth every day. It changes everything, including the way I think—so that I can be transformed. With You, I can be made new. Thank You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Know God's presence

God, continue to be the focus of my daily life. Make Your presence known to me. Draw me close to You so that way I can know You more deeply. I want to seek You all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Sabbath

Lord Jesus, You are wise and good in all things. Thank you for creating both work and rest as a blessing. Teach me to rest regularly and to receive it as the gift You made it to be. I need wisdom and faith to do this. Amen.

Do not lose heart

God, please help me to not lose heart. When I look at the world around me, it's easy to get overwhelmed and discouraged. When that happens, I will remember to take heart—because You are renewing me. Help me to recall all the ways You are at work in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Made new

God, You made a way when there was no way! You sent Your Son, Jesus, to make a way to new life in You. Thank You. This truth changes everything. It changes me. I surrender my life to You. I want to be made new. Thank You for making a way! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
