New Hope for Veggies on NBC?
I always love when I can follow up a report like my previous post with one like this. When it was announced that VeggieTales was coming to NBC on Saturday mornings there were a lot of people that were cheering. Then we found out that God had been edited out. Now it has been reported that the past several episodes of the the program have not been edited at all. Thank you Lord!

Rosie and "The View" take another shot ...
On the December 5, 2006 episode of "The View" they had Julia Sweeney as one of their guests. The following is from the recap section of the ABC website:
http://abc.go.com/daytime/theview/episodes/2006/20061204.html
"Next, we welcomed back Julia Sweeney, the SNL alum who introduced us to Pat and is back now with a controversial new CD which reveals her rocky journey away from religion. This CD, entitled Letting Go of God, is in stores now and available on her website Juliasweeney.com, and today each member of our studio audience got to take home a copy."
I deeply saddens me that this kind of bias is so easily shown on television and unfortunately this is not the first time that this has happened on this show. On September 12, 2006 Rosie O'Donnell compared Christianity and Islam saying, "Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America." I pray that these types of attacks do not continue. We need to remain diligent with those we shepherd and disciple.

All too often I see negative, negative, negative in the news. Today I wanted to make sure that I shared with you an article from the Washington Post about revisions to the 32 year old guidelines as well as voluntary actions from 10 food and beverage companies. According to the article these 10 companies make up about two-thirds of the television advertising in the food and beverage market. Hopefully this will help our country get back to being a healthier one.
