Serve with a generous heart

Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.

God, thank You for all the blessings You have given me. I want to live a life that honors You and is generous with what I have. Guide me to opportunities where I can fulfill others’ needs with my time, my belongings, and my finances. Help me to serve those around me with a generous heart—a heart that reflects Your nature.
