Guard your heart

So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.

Jesus, thank You for loving me unconditionally. Thank You for coming to earth to rescue us. I want to love You the way that You love me. I know that this isn’t easy. I know that this will cost me something. But I want You to be first in my life. So please show me how to guard my heart, and teach me how to become more like You. Amen.
