What's something that is impossible for you but is possible for God?

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
Matthew 19:26 NLT

As a church we had just moved into a new space. Two services in and we are hit by a global pandemic. Our lives changed in an instant. On top of that we were mere weeks from Easter. What were we going to do?

As pastors, Mark, Josh, and I met to pray and discuss our next steps. How would we continue to serve the church when we could not have an in person service? God knew.

Turns out God had put a passion for photography in Josh. Because of that, Josh already had a tripod with a cellphone mount, lenses for the phone’s camera, and a microphone. We could live stream the service on Facebook. Funny thing is we had been talking about doing that for awhile and we didn't even realize we had the basic tools we would need. God knew.

What about Communion? God knew. God had already placed it on the heart of one of our church families heart to purchase prepackaged Communion cups with the juice and wafer packaged together. Between the three of us we delivered them to everyone. We could still have Communion each week together.

Now we are getting closer to be able to have in person services again. Again as pastors we are praying about and discussing our next steps. We know that things will never be quite the same again. We are praying for lots of people to join us at Grace Street Church. We are praying for God's Will.

Doing anything during a pandemic seems impossible for us. Not for God. Nothing is impossible for Him.
