Responding like Jesus, not the world

He looked around at them one by one and then said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” So the man held out his hand, and it was restored! At this, the enemies of Jesus were wild with rage and began to discuss what to do with him.
Luke 6:10‭-‬11 NLT

Jesus told us that we would be hated because of Him. This passage reminds me of that. It also reminds me of what's going on in the world today. As Christians we stand up for what we believe. Those that don't believe the same way say that we are not tolerant. The thing is is that while we disagree with things of the world, we understand that the world is fallen. And while we can hold other Christians accountable to the scriptures we cannot do that with those who don't believe the same that we do. What we can do is pray for them, and we can care for them, and then with God's help we can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. All of this is done in love, not hate, not intolerance. There's a double standard in the world. I stand for what I know I believe. Others stand for what they believe. What I pray for is that the two sides of the table could sit down and have a conversation, not a shouting match. As Christians, when others don't believe the same way that we do, we cannot act and treat others like the world does towards us. We have to show them the love of Jesus Christ.
