His life for ours

We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.

1 John 3:16 NLT

God, when Jesus died on the cross, He made a way for me to spend eternity with You. Thank You for making Yourself the model of sacrificial love. Please show me how to live out this love to the people You place in my life. Give me opportunities to serve others, and help me to do so with joy and compassion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
