I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

God, I believe in You. No matter what comes my way, I believe You have overcome the world. Even though trouble is ever-present, You are my constant source of peace. You surround me and protect me. Nothing is too difficult for You to accomplish. I will praise You because You are the One in whom I trust—You are in control. Amen.

Be gracious

Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

God, teach me to use my words to show grace, kindness, compassion, and mercy toward others. Let my words bring life and draw people closer to You and Your love. Use me to bring Your encouragement and hope to people who desperately need it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A light in the darkness

Honoring God with faith

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

God, I want to please You with my faith. I want to learn more about You and grow closer to You each day. Give me the courage to be bold and to seek You in a world that turns away from You. Help me to become more like Jesus and honor You with every decision I make. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Give your burdens to God

Lord, I am grateful for the promise that I can cast my burdens upon You, knowing that You will sustain me and uphold me. I come to You with the burdens that have weighed heavy on my heart. Lord, You know the worries, the fears, the anxieties that have been troubling me. I cast them all upon You, for You are the source of my strength and my refuge. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A Heart of Generosity
