Consider it pure joy

God, thank You for allowing me to experience trials. And thank You for refining my faith through them. When I go through hard situations, please lead me away from temptation by giving me the strength to endure. Remind me of the joy set before me: the purification of my character and eternity spent with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Humble yourself

God, I need You. I can’t pretend that I have my life together, because I don’t. You alone are able to help and sustain me. You alone are able to give me the strength I need to get through each day. Today, please show me that You are in control—and that You are enough for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God doesn't abandon or betray

God, You have never abandoned or betrayed me. You have faithfully cared for me and defended me. There is no one like You! When I look at nature, I see Your creativity. When I look at my life, I see Your love. And that’s why today, I want to tell the whole world what You’ve done and who You are! Today, give me the courage to declare how great You are. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is enough

God, thank You for being faithful. Thank You for making a way for me to know You. You are enough for me, and You make me enough. Please show me how You are at work in my life. I will choose to patiently wait on You, because I know that You will finish the work You started in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Keep running

God, thank You that life with You is a race worth running. I want to be like Paul. At the end of my life I want to be able to say that I have fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. How do I live this out? Teach me, God! Help me do this well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Possible with God

God, whatever it is that’s holding me back—I release it to You. Please deliver me as I battle against my selfish desires and thoughts. Show me how to love You above all else. I want to live my best life for You today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
