A Generous Heart

Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of “sacrifice”—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.

God, thank You for caring for the needs of Your people. You give me everything I need—everything I have is Yours. So please use me and what I have to fulfill the needs of others. Even when it feels hard to be generous, please help me to be willing to give my time, money, and possessions for the good of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
