Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

God, all of my life and the lives of everyone else belong to You alone, and I pray that we would all want to live a life that honors You. I don’t want You to just be a part of my life, I want You to be the center of everyone's life. Although I know it will be difficult at times, I pray that we would all stop pursuing things that don’t matter, and start pursuing You above everything else. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
