July 2005

Hello All,

1 1Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy house of worship,
praise him under the open skies;
2Praise him for his acts of power,
praise him for his magnificent greatness;
3Praise with a blast on the trumpet,
praise by strumming soft strings;
4Praise him with castanets and dance,
praise him with banjo and flute;
5Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
6Let every living, breathing creature praise GOD!
Hallelujah!
(Psalm 150 The Message)

Praise God! It is such a joy to delight in the Lord. Praise God everywhere and for everything.

As many of you know, I am embarking on a new and wonderful journey. When the Israelites left Egypt for the Promised Land there was excitement for what was to come, but there were also many trials that were ahead. I am looking forward as the Lord leads me on a new journey as the Youth and Family Life Minister. There are many plans to make, events to hold, youth worship service to get ready for, and many other things. This could also be a very scary time. What if something goes wrong or does not go as planned? What will people think? I know there will be things that do not go the way they are planned, but I am not worried about that. Many of the greatest people in history failed at least once, if not more.

Adam failed God when he chose to eat the apple. Abraham Lincoln failed the bar exam to be a lawyer 7 times. I failed my test for my driving permit when I was 14. Adam and Eve went on to start life, as we know it. Abraham Lincoln became President of the United States. Me, well I became a loving father, husband, friend, and most importantly a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Diane and I have had a wonderful time these past few years as the youth group leaders and we look forward to many more. So, with so much to do we will let you go this for this month. Take care and may God bless you and your families every day!

Because of Him,

Terry and Diane

Praise God!
Praise be to God our Father in Heaven. Let us rejoice in all that He has done, is doing, and will do. Without our Lord we would be lost in this world. That you Lord for our families, our friends, our schools, our jobs, the men and women that serve our country so that we can have freedom of religion, and most of all thank you for the gift of your Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

14This "insider world" is not our home. We have our eyes peeled for the City about to come. 15Let's take our place outside with Jesus, no longer pouring out the sacrificial blood of animals but pouring out sacrificial praises from our lips to God in Jesus' name. 16Make sure you don't take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship--a different kind of "sacrifice"--that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets. (Hebrews 13:14-16 The Message)
